Totally Bold Tenacious Gold and Teal!

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year or so, you probably already have SOME awareness of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream eye shadows. You've probably seen the brightly pigmented little glass jars in the supermarket, drugstore, in a magazine ad. There's 10 colors in the permanent collection, and there have been two limited edition sets of four. I own 11 of these. They're great to use alone, and are amazing when used under powder. MOST of them are amazingly pigmented, and apply and blend perfectly. Some take a little more work, but the staying power is worth it.
I did a gold and teal look with them today, and a handful of other products.
And then I decided to make a step by step post/tutorial on one of the many ways to use these amazing shadows!

Here's the list of products I used:
(From Right to Left)
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold
NYX Glam Shadow Stick in 24 Karat
Wet and Wild eyeshadow in Gold Digger (Mine crumbled within days of purchase, so I essentially re-milled the powder and put it in a little container!)
E.L.F Eyeshadow Brush (White handle)
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tenacious Teal
Harmon Beauty Supplies Eyeliner Brush and Smudger
Ulta Eyeshadow in Turquoise
E.L.F. Slanted Liner Brush (Black Handle)
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Totally Teal (Limited Edition!)
E.L.F. Wet Look Mascara and Brow gloss (FRANKENED with NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Gold, and some loose WnW Gold Digger)
.
0) Always start with a clean eye area. Oils can cause creasing and ill-wearing eye makeup!

 1) Apply Bold Gold lightly over the entire lid. Blend out with finger, re-apply to build as desired. This shot was done with just a quick single swipe of my finger, and blend of my thumb.
**This is one of my favorites from the Color Tattoo line. It's shimmery, and sheer, and applies like a dream. Buildable, yet so subtle with one sweep of your finger that it's a "Is she wearing makeup?!" look.**

 2) Dot the Glam Shadow Stick along the lid, and blend up and outwards.  **This product is pretty much a stick of solid glitter. Blends out amazingly. Super concentrated glitter as a liner with no blending.**

 3) Take Gold Digger, (Or any other shimmery gold powder shadow) tip it over, tap once, then right the container and sweep the dust from the underside of the lid with the fluffy eyeshadow brush onto entire eyelid/crease/arch area. Pat and blend out excess powder with finger.

  4) With a slant tip liner brush, line upper lash line, and lower lash line with Tenacious Teal. Follow up with a healthy coating of Ulta Turquoise applied with the same brush along both lash lines.
**Doing this adds extra pigment to the Color Tattoo shadow, and lends staying power to the powder shadow.**

 5) Coat upper lashes (I FAIL at getting my lower lashes...) top and bottom in Totally Teal mascara. Let dry.

**The product I use in the next step is a Franken. (Frankenstein.) It is one of my favorite super cheap makeup staples (E.L.F. CLEAR Wet Look Mascara and Brow gloss), with a bunch of loose gold eyeshadow (Wet and Wild Gold Digger) and a bunch of NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Gold, mixed in.**

 6) Take the gold mascara (I assme just the gold liquid liner painted on with a mascara wand would do the trick) and carefully do just the tips of your upper lashes.

 7) Clean up any undesired areas, and FLAUNT those amazing, artsy eyes!

In conclusion, I hope this idea has inspired you to try something new, and pick up a Color Tattoo shade if you haven't tried any. (A review of the shade you think you might like, might be good, as consistency does seem to vary.) Maybe it's inspired you to try to Franken a mascara! (I will be posting a review of the E.L.F. CLEAR Wet Look Mascara and Brow gloss SOON. I LOVE this product.)
